Pre-Orientation Program |
Starting University can be a time of information overload for most students. Orientation week ('O'Week), while full of excitement and interesting events, can often leave a new student feeling quite overwhelmed. For students with disabilities or medical conditions this can be an even more confusing time.
In recognition of this the Murdoch University Equity Office coordinates a Pre- Orientation Program (POP) for students with disabilities. This enables a more gradual assimilation of information about resources available to students (including linking in with a student mentor, finding out about library and IT services). The POP is meant to supplement (not replace) the activities of 'O'Week.
New students will still need to be on campus for certain Unit selection sessions and meeting with their Divisional Offices during the 'O'Week activities.
