Murdoch Ally Program

EQUITY ACCESS & DIVERSITY

Ally Training

Ally training is held as a free, one day (5 hour) workshop, and is available to all University staff in Faculties, departments, and offices.

Participants are given a space to explore myths about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (lgbti) communities, understand heterosexual and gender privilege, and ask questions about issues surrounding gender and sexuality.

Training is interactive and includes a panel of community members, and facilitated discussion focused on dispelling stereotypes about the lgbti communities. Members leave the training with concrete steps they can take to help eliminate homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, both on campus and in the larger community.

To join a training program or arrange for a program in your area please call 9360 6146 or email Gerri at G.Box@murdoch.edu.au
