Equity Lecturer

The Equity Lecturer is principally involved with the academic side of Equity programs. As such, the Equity Lecturer is responsible for much of the academic content of Equity Enabling programs and Student Retention Programs.

As a member of Student Learning, the Equity Lecturer also has a Learning Skills responsibility. Courses are presented during the first semester to give students access to developing specific learning skills which they may need to get the most benefit out of their University education. These courses: on essay writing; grammar; exam preparation and stress management; are repeated during the second semester.

In addition to these services, the Equity Lecturer is available for one-to-one consultations, usually for half-hour appointments. These consultations may cover anything from essay preparation, to administrative advice, reading skills, time management or exam techniques.  Contact the Equity Lecturer on 9360 2394, or e-mail Jim Meckelburg
