Access Southwest |
Murdoch University has a commitment to increasing access to tertiary study for a diversity of people. The Access Southwest Program is part of the Universitys response to that commitment with particular focus on those students at schools in the Rockingham / Kwinana / Peel areas.
What is Access Southwest?
Access Southwest hopes to encourage Year 12 TEE students at high schools in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Peel areas to consider entry to Murdoch University.
The program is for those students who achieve a Tertiary Entrance Ranking (TER) which falls below that required for entry to Murdoch University, and who have nominated Murdoch courses as their first preference on their TISC application. Completion and acceptance of an Access Southwest Application will allow students to receive individual consideration of their intention to study at Murdoch University.
How to apply
A student who wishes to be considered under this program must complete a TOP/Access Southwest Application Form and submit it with a Transferable Skills Form (to be completed by school teaching staff). Just follow the links at the bottom of this page to download copies of the TOP/Access Southwest Application Form and the Transferable Skills Form.
Details of your TISC preferences are required and students should be aware that they may need certain recommended subjects to gain entry to some courses.
Selection and notification for this program occurs after the release of the Tertiary Entrance results for that year.
Remember to be considered under Access Southwest you must have nominated a Murdoch course for at least your first preference with TISC.
Acceptance of your application does not guarantee a place in a Murdoch University undergraduate program.
The closing date for this program is the last Friday in October.
