Student Access, Diversity & Special Needs - Entry & Support |
Murdoch University has demonstrated a strong history of increasing the diversity of its student intake. Each year the University encourages onto its campuses, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, those with special needs, people completing high school education and mature-age entrants. Students accessing the University come from a wide variety of experiences and with diverse requirements. The University hopes to reflect the needs of its students in both the classroom and across the campus in its services.
The Equity, Access & Diversity Office is responsible for ensuring
provision of entry and support for a number of these diverse groups,
particularly those people with disabilities, those on low incomes, people from
rural or remote locations and those who arrive in Australia as refugees.
Aboriginal people are welcomed and encouraged to access services at
Equity, Access & Diversity or at the Kulbardi Aboriginal Education Centre
which also provides a number of
alternative entry programs and support for indigenous and Torres Strait
Islander students. Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander people interested
in Veterinary Science should check the Waadong
site,

During your studies there may be times when you consider withdrawing from university. The reasons vary but often relate to financial or family issues or academic problems and difficulties.
At these times withdrawing from study does seem to be the
most tempting option.
However,
taking that step can present you with other issues which can effect you, both
personally and financially.
Please READ and consider this information BEFORE you go ahead and cease your study.
The Related Policy Documents page provides links to both Murdoch University policy and government policy which relates to Equity Students.
