Student Access, Diversity & Special Needs - Entry & Support

Murdoch University has demonstrated a strong history of increasing the diversity of its student intake. Each year the University encourages onto its campuses, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, those with special needs, people completing high school education and mature-age entrants. Students accessing the University come from a wide variety of experiences and with diverse requirements. Through a socially inclusive approach, the University hopes to reflect the needs of its students, in the classroom and across the campus in its services and supports.

The Equity, Access & Diversity Office is responsible for ensuring entry and support for a number of these diverse groups, particularly those people with disabilities, those on low incomes, people from rural or remote locations and those who arrive in Australia as refugees.  Aboriginal people are welcomed and encouraged to access services at Equity, Access & Diversity or at the Kulbardi Aboriginal Education Centre which also provides a number of alternative entry programs and support for indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students.  Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people interested in Veterinary Science should check the Waardong site, http://www.vetbiomed.murdoch.edu.au/waardong/
